In the third quarter of 2022 the gross domestic product was $1.22T MX, 10.5% less than the previous quarter.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  2,563 economic units were totaled in Nonmetallic Mineral Mining and Quarrying, highlighting Puebla (726), Guerrero (302), and Querétaro (200).

Total gross production was $20.1B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were San Luis Potosí ($4.93B MX) and Coahuila de Zaragoza ($3.3B MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Nonmetallic Mineral Mining and Quarrying had a total of 1,738 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Puebla (140), Copala (137), and Zapotitlán (85)

Total income eached $4.58B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Zaragoza ($927M MX), Gómez Palacio ($286M MX), and Progreso de Obregón ($245M MX).

Total expenditures were $2.64B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Zaragoza ($587M MX), Gómez Palacio ($227M MX), and San Juan Evangelista ($168M MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 11342 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Copala (1.18k), Zaragoza (523), and Manzanillo (388).
